It is expected that students of the revised curriculum will have a solid foundation in product research and development, manufacturing and quality assurance, and pharmaceutical engineering. Students after completion of this course would be competent in handling the research and development, production and quality assurance requirements of dosage forms specified in this course. Model questions generally asked during various examinations are given at the end of every chapter as Review questions. In this book wherever needed full forms and abbreviations, pictorial diagrams, tabular data, numerical, and examples of formulation including marketed products and manufacturers are given. The sequence of Units and its constituent chapters as given in syllabus is maintained while writing the manuscript. An attempt has been made to present this subject and the concepts therein in a most simple and understandable form to the pharmacy students and for fellow teacher colleagues. The book is strictly written as per syllabus framed by PCI under Section 6, 7 & 8 of B. It is a great pleasure for me to present this book in the hands of readers.
